ARVIN MACHINE WORKS INC. is one of the largest precision machining and manufacturing facilities in Eastern Canada. Aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, and steel, as well as other metals, plastics, and composite materials are custom machined in accordance with the tolerances and specifications required by the customer.

Arvin's Contract Manufacturing Division uses high speed, programmable equipment, to produce parts for the telecommunications, aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, food processing, oil and gas, and similar industries. Arvin currently operates over thirty CNC Milling and Turning Centres, and will add equipment as required to provide its customers with the most advanced machining technologies available.

The Industrial Division provides custom machining and manufacturing services to the mining, forestry, transportation, heavy construction, power generation, peat processing, and other industrial sectors. Arvin's large programmable lathes, (up to 5 metre length capability), horizontal and vertical boring mills, (102 inch diameter capacity), gear cutters (up to 70 inch diameter), and related equipment, produce single and multiple units to meet customer specifications. Arvin manufactures OEM replacement parts and provides MRO services including the ispection, repair and overhaul of gear boxes and other mechanical components. Arvin will provide quick turnaround times and emergency service when unplanned breakdowns occur.

Arvin's production groups are supported by well equipped and highly trained Quality Assurance and Programming Departments that routinely interact with customers to facilitate effective and efficient manufacturing processes and quality workmanship. Engineering assisstance is also provided in the shop or at the customers facility when required. The Arvin Quality Management System is registered under the ISO 9001:2000 standard and works to specialized customer requirements. A high level of customer service is an integral component of Arvin's operating practices with deliveries set to meet the customers' needs.

Arvin has operated since 1973 and became a member of the Atcon Group of companies in 1999. The firm, formerly known as Arvin Special Machinery, is located in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada and supplies customers throughout the eastern regions of Canada and the United States.
